4th Annual Walk For Life A Great
Success

Despite chilly temperatures, smiles were sunny as approximately
150 people participated in the 4th annual Walk For Life events on
Saturday, May 7 in Grangeville to express their support for children and
families, and raise funds for the Hope and Clearwater Valley Pregnancy &
Life Skills Centers in Grangeville and Kamiah. The Walk began at the
Grangeville City Park and ended with food, prizes, and a celebration at
Grangeville High School.
The Walk For Life event raised more
than $6,700 for the two Centers (so far - donations are still being
received). The winners in the fundraising effort as of the day of the
event were: 1st place - Greta Bruzas; 2nd place - Lester Downhour; 3rd -
Shannon Fuchs; and 4th - Bonnie Roll. Another dozen participants won
door prizes in the post-Walk drawings. Prizes were donated by the Blue
Fox Theater, City of Grangeville Pool, Crema Café, Lindsley’s Home
Furnishings, Potlatch Federal Credit Union, Subway, The Retreat on
3-Mile Creek, and The Wednesday Girls Quilting Club.
Event

Carry Foods, Central Idaho Post, City of Grangeville, Clearwater Valley
Harvest Foods, Gortsema Motors, Idaho County Light & Power, KORT, Les

The Hope and Clearwater Valley
Centers provide free pregnancy tests, confidential counseling about
unplanned pregnancy and options, more than 100 free parenting and life
skills classes for young women, men, and families, with free infant,
toddler, and maternity supplies for class participants. For more
